  • The Mohs scale runs from 1 (softest: talc) to 10 (hardest: diamond). It tells you how scratch-resistant your crystal is. A 7 (like quartz) is durable for display and handling. A 3 (like calcite) needs more careful storage. We include the rating so you know how to look after it.

  • Yes, unless the listing states otherwise. Most of our products are individually listed and photographed, so what you see is what you get. For multi-packs or tumbles sold by weight, the listing will say so clearly.

As a general rule: keep colour-sensitive stones like amethyst and fluorite out of prolonged direct sunlight, store softer pieces away from harder ones so they aren't scratched, and handle fine points as little as possible.
